Musée des religions du monde

The history of the town of Nicolet, at the confluence of the Nicolet and the St. Lawrence, has been shaped by religious institutions dedicated to education. It was therefore a natural extension of that history for the Musée des religions du monde to open there in 1991. This museum manages a significant heritage collection of over 120,000 objects and presents exhibitions that highlight the spiritual dimension of human experience and explore the five major religions of the world.

L'arbre de mots literary park is located next to the Musée des religions du monde. Created in 1998 by writer Pierre Chatillon, this park honours local authors. As they walk along the path, visitors can read extracts from texts by writers from the Nicolet region.
